With the ambition to spearhead economic development in a sustainable manner, we embarked our journey for setting up Bank Asia on 27th November, 1999. We felt Bangladesh has a lot of potentials, which needs to be harnessed with entrepreneurial spirit and quality service in the financial sector. We set our mission to extend high quality service to customers and participate in the growth of national economy. Our vision is to have a poverty-free Bangladesh in the course of a generation in the new millennium that reflects national aspiration. We aspired to build a society where human dignity and human rights receive the highest consideration.
From inception, Bank Asia concentrates on issues where we can make it a socially responsible institution. We deliver humanitarian services through various CSR activities across the country ensuring social benefits and balanced economic growth. With the assistance of Bangladesh Eye Hospital we provide full financial support for operation of all born blind children in the country so that they can see the light of the world. This is our flagship project and has earned wide acclaims. We shall appreciate if anyone comes across any born blind child in any part of the country and report it to any branch of Bank Asia and we shall take full responsibility to carry out necessary operation and restore eye sight of the helpless child. Bank Asia is also providing higher studies scholarship to poor and meritorious students and imparting computer learning to rural youths by setting up computer learning centres. Our aim is to bring the poor and marginalized people to the main stream of the development.
In last 13 years of journey, we are in the right track to materialize our mission, vision and have been able to ensure customer satisfaction through our ever expanding network. We are the first bank in Bangladesh that took over the local operations of two foreign banks in Bangladesh –Nova Scotia Bank of Canada and Muslim Commercial Bank of Pakistan.
